About McKenzie
I’m a makeup artist in LA with 10+ years' experience specializing in film, commercials, editorials, and e-commerce; turning passion into profession and bringing beauty visions to life for clients.
I have had the opportunity to lead the makeup department for various feature films such as "At the Gates" (2022), "The Misadventures of Vince and Hick" (2024), and Sundance 2024 U.S. Fiction Jury Award Winning "Say Hi After You Die". In these roles, I was responsible for overseeing the makeup team, conceptualizing character makeup looks, and bringing the director's vision to life. These projects have not only showcased my creativity and attention to detail but also demonstrated my ability to thrive in high-pressure film settings.
I’ve worked on projects with Bad Bunny, Chappell Roan, Beyoncé on videos, performances, & publications. Created stunning looks, collaborated on concepts. Honed skills for visually captivating projects.
Throughout my career, I've worked with brands like About Face, Fenty Skin, RMS Beauty, Nike, On Running and more. These collaborations showcased my skills in editorials, commercials, and e-commerce with work published in Billboard magazine and several other publications. Each project brought unique challenges and opportunities, helping me grow in the industry.
I am proud to call Southern California my home, where the sunny days and creative energy fuel my passion for filmmaking. It was in film school where I discovered the beautiful intersection of makeup artistry and filmmaking, a realization that has shaped my career ever since. Living in Sherman Oaks with my loyal pug, Bobo, I am constantly inspired to expand my knowledge and skills in the industry, driven by a relentless pursuit of growth and learning. Each day presents a new opportunity to create, inspire, and bring my unique perspective to the world of beauty and cinema.
